How to check an X creator before you pay
Creator Check measures what an X (Twitter) creator's typical post actually delivers: median views, engagement per 1,000 views, and how views compare with followers. It also flags the patterns that inflate those numbers, so you can vet a creator before paying for a post.
Frequently asked questions
- How is the engagement rate calculated?
- From up to 30 of the creator's recent original posts (no replies or reposts), each at least 48 hours old so the numbers have settled. We use the median post, so one viral hit can't skew it, and show engagement per 1,000 views alongside views as a share of followers.
- Can it spot fake followers or inflated engagement?
- It can't see who follows an account, but it flags the signals that usually come with inflated numbers: engagement made mostly of replies, view counts that barely vary, repliers shared with other creators on your list, very new accounts, and views far above follower count.
- Is Creator Check free?
- Checking one creator is free, with fair-use limits. Ranking a list costs 10 credits per creator, for up to 200 creators from a CSV or Google Sheet; creators that can't be measured are refunded.
- How do I split a budget across creators?
- Add a price for each creator in your list. Creator Check ranks them on reach, resonance and cost per engagement, then plans the budget by value per dollar, limiting repeat posts, so you don't pay the biggest names by default.
