Setting KPIs

What are KPIs?

Key Performance Indicators are the measurable goals that must be achieved for the reward pool to unlock.

KPI Best Practices

1. Measurable & Verifiable

  • Clear numeric targets
  • Transparent tracking
  • On-chain verification where possible

2. Achievable but Meaningful

  • Stretch goals that show real traction
  • Not impossible to reach
  • Demonstrates product-market fit

3. Time-Bound

  • Define timeframe for achievement
  • Creates urgency and focus
  • Clear success/failure determination

Common KPI Types

User Acquisition KPIs

  • Minimum signups (e.g., 10,000 users)
  • Active users (e.g., 5,000 monthly active)
  • Retention rates (e.g., 40% 30-day retention)

Revenue KPIs

  • Total revenue milestone (e.g., $100K)
  • Paying customer count (e.g., 1,000 customers)
  • Average order value targets

Engagement KPIs
